Storm Damage Repair in Cypress

After strong wind or a hard rain, please stay off the ladder and let us look. We check your roof from the ridge to the gutters, photograph what the storm did, and explain what needs fixing now and what can wait.

What Storm Damage Repair Covers

Storms rarely wreck a whole roof. More often they lift a row of shingles, crack a few tiles, bend a section of flashing or drop a branch that punches through the decking. Those small openings let water into the attic, and the damage grows quietly over the next few rains.

Storm damage repair means finding every one of those openings and closing it properly. We replace what broke, reseal what moved, and check the layers underneath so a dry ceiling today stays dry next season.

Our first job is keeping people safe. A storm-damaged roof can have loose tile, soft decking and slick surfaces, so our crew sets up fall protection, marks off the ground below and keeps you, your kids and your pets out of the drop zone.

What We Do on a Storm Repair

A full roof walk with photos

We check every slope, valley, vent and edge, not just the spot you noticed. You get photos of each problem so you can see what we see.

Temporary protection when it is needed

If rain is coming before repairs can be finished, we tarp and fasten exposed areas so the cover holds in wind instead of flapping loose.

Shingle and tile replacement

We match the shape and color of your existing roofing as closely as we can and set new pieces with the right fasteners and overlap. Cracked concrete tile is swapped out without walking on the pieces around it.

Flashing and underlayment repair

Wind often peels flashing at chimneys, walls and skylights. We refasten or replace it and repair any torn underlayment beneath before the roofing goes back down.

Decking checks after impacts

Where a limb or debris struck, we look for cracked or soaked plywood and replace weak sections so nobody steps through later.

Cleanup and a magnet sweep

We bag broken tile, bent metal and old nails as we work instead of tossing them over the edge. At the end of the job, a magnetic sweeper runs across the driveway, walkways and lawn so stray nails do not end up in tires or bare feet.

Signs Your Roof Took Storm Damage

  • Roofing scattered on the ground

Shingle tabs or tile shards on the lawn or patio have a matching gap somewhere on the roof. Even one opening leaves the underlayment exposed to sun and rain.

  • New ceiling stains

A brown ring or bubbling paint that appears after a storm usually points to a fresh opening above it.

  • Lifted or creased shingles

From the street, look for shingles that sit up at the edges or show a bent line across them. Wind breaks the seal strip, and the next gust can tear them off.

  • Bent flashing or loose gutters

Metal pulled away from a wall, chimney or fascia lets water run behind it. Sagging gutters can also signal wet fascia boards.

  • Branches on the roof

A limb that landed may have cracked tile or decking even if it slid off. Please do not climb up to move it yourself.

How a Storm Repair Day Goes

  1. 1

Your call and a quick safety check

Tell us what you noticed. If anything sounds dangerous, like sagging ceilings or wires near the roof, we will tell you what to avoid until we arrive.

  2. 2

    Free inspection and written estimate

We inspect the roof, take photos and walk you through them. You get a free written estimate that lists each repair. If you decide to file a claim, our team works directly with your insurance claim and can share those photos and line items with your adjuster.

  3. 3

    Setting up the work area

We cover plants, mark a safe zone below the roof edge and anchor our ladders and harness lines before anyone steps onto a damaged slope.

  4. 4

    Repairs, then a final look

We make the repairs, check the flashing and edges again, then clear debris and sweep for nails. Before we leave, we show you the finished work and the photos.

What Shapes the Cost of Storm Repairs

Every storm leaves a different mark, so we price the repair only after we have seen the roof. Your written estimate breaks the work into lines so you know what each part covers. When the bill is yours to cover rather than an insurer's, you can ask us about financing through Service Finance Company, which is subject to credit approval.

Size of the damaged section
A few lifted shingles is a small job. Damage spread over several slopes or valleys takes more material and more time.
Roofing material
Concrete and clay tile cost more to replace than asphalt shingles and need careful handling so nearby tiles do not crack. Matching an older color can also take extra sourcing.
What is under the surface
Wet or broken decking and torn underlayment add work, but skipping them means the repair will not last.
Height and steepness
A two-story house or a sharp pitch calls for more anchors, harness lines and ladder setup before any repair begins. That safety time shows up as part of the labor on your estimate.

Common Questions After a Storm

Something not covered here? (714) 613-8375

Is it okay to climb up and look at the roof myself after a storm?

We'd ask you not to. Wet tile and loose shingles are slick, and damaged decking can collapse under your weight. Check from the ground or a window, snap photos of anything you notice, and leave the climbing to us.

Does insurance pay for storm repairs?

It comes down to your policy and what the adjuster finds, and that isn't our call. We can give you clear photos and a written estimate, and we work directly with your insurance claim so you don't have to explain roofing terms yourself.

Will repairs do the job, or does the whole roof need replacing?

From what we've seen, most storm damage is handled with targeted repairs. If your roof is already close to the end of its life or the damage reaches across most slopes, we'll say so directly and explain why. Our Roof Replacement page goes into that option further, and the choice is always yours.

How do you keep my family and yard safe while you work?

The area below the roof edge gets marked off, plants are covered and tools and debris stay contained. Please keep kids and pets indoors or away from that area during the work, and we sweep for nails before leaving.

Can you take care of hail and gutter damage too?

Yes. When a storm brings hail, our Hail Damage Repair service handles the additional checks hail calls for, and bent or loosened gutters go through our Gutters service. We can check everything in a single visit.
