Roof Repair in Cypress, Done Safely Around Your Home

We fix the part of your roof that is failing, from cracked tiles and lifted shingles to worn flashing and soft fascia. Ladders are secured, the work zone is kept clear, and you see a written estimate that explains the repair before anyone climbs up to work.

Fixing the Problem Before It Spreads

Roof trouble usually starts small. A handful of tiles slide out of place, a pipe boot cracks after years of sun, or a few shingles lift during a dry Santa Ana wind. Handled early, that kind of damage tends to stay a contained fix, and your home stays dry when the winter rains arrive.

We start by looking at the whole roof, not just the spot you pointed to. If the damage is local and the rest of the roof has years left, we'll tell you a repair makes sense. If the underlayment is worn out across the roof, we'll say that plainly too and explain what roof replacement would involve, so you can decide without pressure.

Safety shapes how we work on your home. We set ladders on stable footing, tie them off at the eave, mark the area below and keep tools and loose material off walkways where kids, pets or neighbors pass.

What Our Roof Repair Work Covers

  1. 01

    Tile resetting and replacement

We lift surrounding tiles carefully, replace cracked or broken pieces and reset slipped ones on their battens. Walking a tile roof the wrong way breaks more tiles, so we step only where the tile is supported.

  2. 02

    Shingle repair

Lifted, creased or missing shingles are replaced and nailed to the manufacturer's pattern, then sealed down so the next wind doesn't peel them back.

  3. 03

    Flashing and pipe boots

Chimney, wall and valley flashing gets refastened or replaced. Sun-cracked rubber pipe boots are swapped out, since they are one of the most common places water gets in.

  4. 04

    Vents, ridge and hip caps

Loose ridge caps and damaged roof vents are reset and sealed so air moves through the attic and rain stays out.

  5. 05

    Fascia and spot decking

Where water has softened the wood at the roof edge or under a damaged section, we cut out the rotted piece and replace it before new roofing goes back on.

Signs Your Roof Needs a Repair

  • Tiles out of place or cracked

When a tile slides down or splits, the underlayment beneath it starts taking direct sun and rain. These are often visible from the street or the backyard.

  • Shingles missing after wind

Bare patches, or shingle pieces in your yard after a windy stretch, mean the layer below is now taking the weather directly.

  • Granules collecting in gutters

A heavy buildup of sandy grit at downspouts tells us shingles are wearing thin in places.

  • Ceiling or wall stains

Yellow or brown rings indoors usually trace back to a small roof opening. For an active drip, our roof leak repair page explains how we track the source.

  • Damp or daylight in the attic

If you see light through the roof boards or smell damp wood up there, have it looked at soon. Please let us do the climbing on the roof itself.

How a Repair Job Runs

  1. 1

    Free inspection

We check the roof surface, flashing, vents and edges, then look in the attic if we can get there safely. You get photos of what we found.

  2. 2

    Written estimate

The free written estimate lists each repair, the materials and what we expect underneath. If something might change once tiles or shingles come up, we tell you before work starts.

  3. 3

    Safe setup on the day

We secure ladders, rope off the ground below the work and cover plants near the drip line. If children or pets are home, we'll check with you about keeping them indoors or on the far side of the house until we come down.

  4. 4

    The repair

Damaged material comes off, any soft wood is replaced, and new underlayment, flashing and roofing go on in the right order so water sheds the way it should.

  5. 5

    Cleanup and walk-through

We pick up debris, sweep for nails with a magnet across the yard and driveway, and show you the finished work with before and after photos.

How We Arrive at a Repair Price

Three things set the price of a repair: how much roofing comes off, what we find under it and how safely the crew can get to the spot. Each one has its own line on your written estimate, so the math is easy to check. Financing is available through Service Finance Company, subject to credit approval, if you'd like to spread out payments.

Type of roofing and pitch
Lifting and resetting tile takes more time and care than working with shingle, and steeper roofs call for more safety gear.
The extent of the damage
Replacing a single cracked pipe boot goes fast. Wind damage across a whole slope needs more material and more labor.
What turns up underneath
When water has gotten into the underlayment or decking, those layers need replacing as well. You see photos before anything is added.
Tracking down a match
Certain older tile and shingle colors are no longer made, so finding a close match may take extra time.
Getting to the repair
A second-story wall, a narrow side yard or a patio cover below the work can change where ladders go and how we protect the ground underneath.

Roof Repair Questions We Get Asked

Is a repair enough, or do I need a whole new roof?

We weigh how old the underlayment is, how far the damage reaches and how the rest of the roof is holding up. When a repair will last, we recommend the repair. When a patch would only buy a little time, we walk you through the photos and tell you why.

Will the new pieces match my current tile or shingles?

In most cases we come close. On an older roof, we may borrow matching tiles from an out-of-sight spot and fill that spot with new ones. We go over the choices with you before placing any order.

Does homeowners insurance cover a roof repair?

It hinges on the cause and on your policy. Damage from wind or storms is often covered, and normal aging generally is not. We work directly with your insurance claim, supplying photos and a written description of the damage, while your insurer and adjuster make the decision.

Does someone have to be home while you work?

Not the whole time, though we like to go over our findings with you at the start and again at the end. If you're there, please keep kids and pets on the opposite side of the house from the crew.

How long does a repair usually take?

Plenty of repairs wrap up in a single visit. A larger section, or rotted decking we uncover after opening the roof, can stretch the timeline, and you'll hear from us immediately if anything changes.
